Pristina is the capital of Kosovo. Not quite as pretty as Prizren, but with plenty to see in and around the city. Like Gračanica Monastery, completely covered in murals inside. It’s actually quite cramped, I don’t see how you could fit more than 20 people inside, but that means more space for the murals.
There is also a Roman excavation site nearby, but most of the remains aren’t more than knee-high.
Pristina itself is mostly modern but has an old town with a large bazaar and numerous mosques. It’s more aimed at business than tourism, which is refreshing. They have a small but really well-done museum about life in the Ottoman empire, in an original Ottoman mansion.
